Mr. Prieto is a partner in charge of the electromechanical department. He has been active in the field of the Industrial Property since 1994. His practice focuses on patent prosecution, opinion work and portfolio management in the areas of mechanical devices, electronic engineering and computer-related inventions. He is a qualified European Patent Attorney (EQE, 2008).

He also specialises in Spanish and Community Design prosecution. Mr. Prieto regularly serves as an expert in patent infringement and nullity litigation and provides expert opinions in cases involving design rights.

Before joining ABG, Mr. Prieto managed the patent department at Spanish IP firm Propi Tec (1999 to 2004) and worked at Spanish IP firm Herrero & Asociados (1994-99).

Mr. Prieto is a native Spanish speaker and is fluent in English
