New European Patent Attorneys at ABG Patentes

We are proud to announce that María Corral (Ph.D. Biochemistry) and Elena López-Camacho (Ph.D. Chemistry) recently passed the European Qualifying Examination (EQE 2017) and became European Patent Attorneys. This brings us up to an impressive fifteen qualified European Patent Attorneys providing exclusive services to our clients, nearly all of them trained at ABG Patentes to the highest quality of standards.

Dr. Corral joined ABG Patentes in 2012 as a patent adviser in the biotechnology department. Before joining ABG, she was a post-doctoral researcher at Hospital Universitario La Princesa (2009-2012), working on the effect of hypoxia in the extracellular matrix remodeling in the renal cell carcinoma. Her thesis work concerned protein acylation and identification and characterization of a novel palmitoyl transferase and its substrates.

Dr. López-Camacho joined ABG Patentes in 2012 as a patent adviser in the chemistry department. Prior to joining ABG, she worked as a post-doctoral scientist at the Astrobiology Center (CAB) in the National Institute for Aerospace Technology (INTA) where she was in charge of the Atomic Force Microscope and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) (2009-2011). In 2008, she was involved in a research project related with the study and characterization of coverings for functional, decorative and innovative applications in the Institute of materials science in Madrid (ICMM-CSIC). Her PhD research at the Institute of materials science in Madrid (ICMM-CSIC) focused on synthesis and characterization of silicon and carbon nanostructures (2004-2007), including periods at the Fribourg University (Switzerland), the Microtechnology Institute (IMT) in Neuchatel (Switzerland) and at the Research Center Rossendorf (Dresden, Germany).

ABG Patentes congratulates María and Elena for the excellent results in their exams and wishes them all the best in their professional career.
