Dr. Sainz has been a patent adviser in the biotechnology department since 2011. Her practice is focused on opinion work, drafting patent applications and patent prosecution in the area of biotechnology.

Prior to joining ABG, Dr. Sainz was a postdoctoral researcher at Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro (2008-2010), working on antibody engineering and the development of novel platforms for protein oligomerization. Her thesis work included stays at Universität Zürich (Switzerland) and King’s College London. She has published papers and reviews in peer-reviewed journals (International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, Trends in Biotechnology) and presented her work at international scientific meetings.

Dr. Sainz is a native Spanish speaker and is fluent in English.
